Joey Logano was elated after winning the Can-Am 500 Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway.
The win qualified him for the Sprint Cup championship race next Sunday in Homestead.
He said few words were exchanged on pit road as Busch stormed up to him after both drivers had climbed from their cars.“I was racing hard there at the end," Logano said.
It wasn't intentional, but obviously he thinks that.
So I don't know.'I've never had an issue with Kyle. We've never had an issue, but I guess now that's over'.
A week earlier at Texas, Logano learned of 5-year-old Jake Leatherman, an avid young NASCAR fan from Hickory, N. Joey and Brittany, along with NASCAR drivers Matt Di Benedetto, Ryan Ellis and J. Yeley and about 100 team members, attended little Jake’s funeral — all dressed in fire suits and uniforms. In contention: Four drivers will compete for the title: Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano.
Today, Logano will go door to door with Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and six-time Cup champ Jimmie Johnson at Homestead as the final four battle for the title.
